RTU Liepāja Academy

During the Researchers' Night, visitors will be able to get to know the works and current affairs of RTU Liepāja Academy researchers in various fields in several creative laboratories.

• Virtual Reality Lab. In the virtual reality laboratory, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the workshop "3D sculpting in VR" and view virtual reality works created in Liepāja. Visitors will have access to a workshop where everyone, regardless of their digital skills or previous experience, will be able to learn the techniques of creating 3D objects using simple, intuitive, even playful tools. Using virtual reality (VR) glasses and controllers, creating 3D objects is done with body movements, which is a more natural and understandable way of 3D modeling, unlike working on a computer screen in specialized programs. Although there is no age limit for the workshop, children under the age of 10 may find the VR tools too large for them to use comfortably.
• Writing lab. In the writing laboratory, it will be possible to participate in the workshop of artist Diana Lelis, which will allow everyone to discover new ways to "trigger" creative thoughts and try to create their own poetry. Collage, randomness, intuition, joy. It is impossible to "make a mistake"!
• Color lab. Under the guidance of ecological art researcher Maija Demitere, visitors to the Researchers' Night will be able to learn how to get colors from natural materials - fruits and vegetables.

N.B. Registration for the event is not required, the number of visitors is not limited.
