LU Institute of Solid State Physics

About event
Description

Come and see for yourself how exciting physics is! Go on a journey full of surprises through the labyrinth, located on five floors of the LU Institute of Solid State Physics (LU CFI) building, and get to know research from a completely different point of view!

What awaits you? Demonstrations and educational activities. You will learn about energy storage solutions, the secrets of battery operation and hydrogen consumption. You will become an expert in the secrets of visual perception - you will be able to see the hidden world that we cannot see with the naked eye, you will get to know the optical phenomenon camera obscura - the basis for the creation of the first cameras.

Exciting practical experiments. You will be amazed by the possibilities of modern microscopy and materials with unique properties that change color under the influence of light or heat. There will be an opportunity to assume the role of a researcher by measuring temperature changes, as well as participating in luminescence and laser experiments.

Conversations with researchers. You will gain new knowledge by discussing scientific discoveries with experienced researchers who are happy to share their experience and passion.
