ESA's Big Data Foundations for Earth Observation 2025 course, taking place in Riga from 22-26 September 2025, will be a dedicated precursor to the Big Data from Space (BiDS) 2025 Conference (29 September - 3 October). Please take a survey so that organizers can adjust the programme for your needs.

The course aims to equip participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in Earth Observation (EO) and big data analytics. Targeted primarily at educators, government representatives, and industry professionals from the Baltic region, the course embraces a "Teach the Teachers" philosophy. By empowering participants to share their knowledge with peers, students, and the broader public, this initiative seeks to foster the growth and prosperity of the Baltic space, EO and data science sector. This course is a standalone initiative and not part of the BiDS conference or the Satellite Events workshop. It will offer a complimentary and optional program designed to complement the themes of BiDS.

This survey is designed to help us understand the professional background of potential participants, any perceived skill gaps, and preferred thematic areas. It will remain open until the 15th February 2025. Your feedback will help us customize the course content, including both theoretical sessions and hands-on activities, to better address your specific needs and expectations.

Please note that this survey is not an application form for the course. Applications will open in the coming months.
