Exhibition of future industrial design engineers' works at the mall "Origo"

Helmets of unusual design that motivate young people to use them, aesthetic and ergonomic skateboards and original lighting objects that calm, allow you to dwell on childhood memories and reflect on the influence of nature and traditions - the exhibition of innovations and scientific achievements in the exhibition space "RTU and Origo future stop" allows take a look at the work of industrial design students of Riga Technical University (RTU).

All works of the exhibition were developed by the students of the "Industrial Design" study program of the Faculty of Construction and Mechanical Sciences of RTU under the guidance of assistant professor Mārtiņš Irbe and senior laboratory assistant Eduards Protasevičs. "In this study program, through the design process and the prism of needs identification, students create real industrially produced products from an idea. Prototyping is one of the most important stages in product development – ​​testing a product allows you to understand how it will work and whether it will be convenient to use. The objects displayed in the exhibition were created during the prototyping study course and represent the students' strategic vision and creative solutions to current design issues," says Anita Geriņa-Ancāne, director of the study program "Industrial Design".

The exhibition can be viewed until the middle of October on the 2nd floor of t/c "Origo", Stacijas square 4.
