On January 8, 2024, the opening of the calendar and exhibition "Research Latvia 2024" was held in the theater house "Zirgu pasts" of the Latvian Academy of Culture. The calendar and exhibition tell about 12 Latvian scientists from different generations, scientific disciplines and institutions: Dr. oec. Ieva Zemīte (Latvian Academy of Culture), Dr. sc. comp. candidate Ilze Bargā (Baltic Satellite Service), Ph. D. Miķelis Kirpļuks (Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry), Dr. geogr. Pēteris Lakovskis (Institute of Agro-Resources and Economics), Dr. biol. Vita Rovīte (Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Centre), Prof. Mārcis Auziņš (University of Latvia), Dr. med. Linda Gailīte (Riga Stradins University), Ph. D. Brigita Dejus (Riga Technical University), Dr. chem. Jānis Veliks (Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis), Dr. sc. ing. Rihards Novickis (Institute of Electronics and Computer Science), Dr. phys. Gints Kučinskis (Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia), Dr. sc. ing. Sandra Muižniece-Brasava (Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies).
The project "Research Latvia 2024" is supported within the framework of the ERDF project "Integrated national level measures for strengthening interest representations for the research and development of Latvia as part of the European Research Area". The opening event was organized in the cooperation with the Latvian Academy of Culture.
