Research institutions can apply for the Latvian-Ukraine research project competition of bilateral cooperation program. The competition is organized and project applications are accepted by the Latvian Science Council until September 13 at 17:00 in Latvia. In Ukraine the competition is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
• The project can be submitted in the following research areas:
- energy and energy efficiency;
- ecology and environmental management, in particular the study of the pollution of the marine environment by chemicals and microplastics;
- new technologies for the treatment and prevention of the most important diseases, biotechnology, bioengineering and genetics;
- new materials;
- social and human sciences.
Two institutions must be involved in the project, each representing one of the Program's member states - Latvia or Ukraine.
The available financing for the Latvian partner of the project is up to 20,000 euros per year. The project implementation period is two years.
