On March 20–21, 2025, the annual conference "CURRENT PROBLEMS IN LITERATURE AND CULTURAL STUDIES" will take place at RTU Liepāja. Several researchers from the University of Latvia, Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art (LU LFMI) will also participate with presentations:

Kalniņa – "‘Normal’ life in an authoritarian totalitarian regime: the reflection of everyday life of the People's Poet of the Latvian SSR, Jānis Sudrabkalns, in his diaries (1956–1966)"; Ilga Vālodze Ābele – "Following the footsteps of some inspirers of the revitalization of Latvian folklore"; Inguna Daukste-Silasproģe – "Ego-documents in the study of creative personalities: a glimpse into the archive materials of Olafs Stumbrs".
