In order to contribute to the adoption of evidence-based decisions on the development of the education system and the achievement of strategic educational development goals, as well as to create new knowledge and practical solutions at the level of educational institutions, municipalities and the state, the Latvian Science Council, based on the Cabinet of Ministers' regulation of September 4, 2018 No. 560 "Procedure for implementation of state research program projects", paragraph 17, re-announces the Ministry of Education and Science's State Research Program "Education" 2023-2026. for the year (hereinafter - the program) the third open tender for project applications.
Cabinet of Ministers order no. 567 "On the state research program "Education"" for the purposes of ensuring 5.2 of the order of the MK. execution of the program task specified in subsection:
"To provide opportunities for an individualized learning process, teaching and assessment, using artificial intelligence and other technology solutions and respecting academic integrity and positive impact on the quality of education. The task of implementing the goal is to develop and test the optimal scenarios for the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies in general and higher education in order to create a development strategy for the introduction of artificial intelligence and other technologies in the education system".
Within the framework of the project competition, it is planned to finance one project, the maximum funding of which is EUR 1,350,000 and the minimum project funding is EUR 300,000.

We invite you to apply for the project competition until November 4. Scientific institutions of the Republic of Latvia, which are registered in the Register of Scientific Institutions and which meet the definition of a research organization, can participate in the project competition. A state institution whose scientific activity is determined by an external legal act, regulation or statute can also participate as a cooperation partner.
