Does slow and steady really win the race?
The Central Statistical Bureau, in collaboration with the University of Latvia Foundation and Latvian Mobile Telephone (LMT), invites bachelor's and master's students to participate in the competition "Macroeconomic Data Sprint: Explore, Analyze, Influence!".
Over two weeks, students will conduct innovative and creative research using publicly available data from supply-use tables and national accounts to uncover valuable insights into the economic environment of Latvia and the European Union.
The aim of the competition is to inspire students to develop innovative and creative research using publicly available data from supply-use tables (SUT) and national accounts (NA). By utilizing a broad set of macroeconomic data, including gross domestic product (GDP) data, participants will not only deepen their understanding of macroeconomic analysis but also contribute to raising awareness of this valuable data resource among their peers and the wider public. The competition encourages students to unlock the potential of real-world data while enhancing their critical thinking and analytical research skills.
Submissions must be sent by March 9. Participation offers students the opportunity to showcase their abilities, develop their skills, and gain recognition both nationally and internationally.
