The Science and Education Innovation Center invites residents and guests of Liepāja to participate in educational trips with the unique floating science laboratory "AkvaLab Liepāja", which will take place between September 30 and October 4. These trips will give you the opportunity to witness the autumn breezes on the waters of Liepāja, while participating in a scientific expedition and learning about the local water ecosystem.
This time is special, because during the trip you will be able to observe the change of seasons and the onset of autumn both in the Liepāja lake and its surroundings, as well as to witness how the migratory birds prepare for the long journey to warm lands.
"AkvaLab Liepāja" is a floating laboratory in Zirgu Island, near the Nature House, which provides an interactive experience in nature research.
During the trip, participants will be able to observe the beauty of nature, participate in scientific experiments, learn more about the sustainability of Liepāja's water resources and their impact on the environment.
Trips with "AkvaLab Liepāja" are planned:
- September 30 (Monday) – at 17:00;
- October 2 (Wednesday) – at 15:00 and 16:00;
- October 4 (Friday) – at 14:00 and 15:00.
